Crash leaves 1 dead and 1 injured
The driver of a vehicle was killed in a collision at the intersection of NMR and Old Ford Road today.
ONE person has been killed and another sustained minor injuries after two vehicles collided at the corner of NMR Avenue and Old Fort Road around midday today.
Rescue Care Paramedics arrived on the scene to find both vehicles lying on their side after a T Bone collision.
One of the drivers was ejected and sustained critical injuries. Advanced Life Support Paramedics worked to stabilize the critically injured man however his injuries were too severe and he died at the scene. The second driver also sustained minor injuries and was transported to hospital by ambulance.
Traffic was severely affected as most of the intersection was closed whilst emergency personnel worked to clear the scene.
The cause of the collision is being investigated by police.
