CPF gives police station a facelift

Members of the Umbilo CPF committee got stuck in to paint the Umbilo police station during the holidays.

COMMITTEE members of the Umbilo Community Policing Forum (UCPF) took time out over the festive season to spruce up the Umbilo Police Station.

According to Keith Sobey, treasurer of the UCPF, the Umbilo Police Station was looking shabby and unwelcoming and was unlikely to receive any attention from the Public Works Department in the near future.

“The Umbilo Community Police Forum, ably assisted by the Zondi family and Mary-Lou and Kai Cotton, took up the challenge to improve the workspace and make the station more welcoming to the community,” said Keith.

The paint, donated by Stateline Ropes, was enthusiastically received by the team, who spent some of their holiday sprucing up the Community Service Centre.
