Bad luck for retiree

An electrician's vehicle was damaged by a falling branch just days before his retirement.

EDITOR – An AVO tree fell on my electrician’s car in the wind this morning (Tuesday, 13 December).

This was from a neighbouring property and it is the second time that part of this tree has fallen onto my property recently.

Terry has been working for me as a loyal employee at Henlouw Electrical, and parking here, for about 32 years and will be retiring on Thursday. This was a car that he has been looking after for ages and was his late father’s car. It is his “Lamborgini” that he loves and treasures.

He has also recently suffered a stroke and now will be stretched to do the necessary repairs to this car.

I wish Terry well in his retirement and hope everything works out for him.
