Armed man on the run
A man has been killed in a botched hijacking in Ferguson Road.
RESIDENTS are urged to be aware of an armed man who is on the run in the Bulwer Park area.
According to an alert on the Bulwer Community Safety Forum WhatsApp group, the driver of a red Toyota Tazz was shot in a hijacking in Ferguson Road, and a suspect is on the run, on foot. One of the men was wearing orange shorts and a white shirt.
Heather Rorick from Bulwer Community Safety Forum said: “One of the men has been caught and the other is on the run. The driver was killed and the woman passenger was injured.”
She said the man was apparently a soccer coach from Stella Sports Club. All emergency vehicles are on scene.
