Vote for your favourite Miss SA
You now have a say about who wears the crown just by sending a SMS.
THE public can now have a say about who they think should be crowned Miss SA 2017. For the first time in the history of the pageant, viewers will be able to vote for their favourite semi-finalist, giving her a better chance of getting into the Top 12 and eventually taking the crown.
The Top 26 Miss SA Semi-Finalists were announced earlier this year and will all vie for the crown on 26 March 2017. The first phase of the public voting opens today and runs until Friday, 13 January 2017.
During phase one, the semi-finalist who receives the most public votes will automatically become one of the Top 12 Miss South Africa 2017 finalists. The second round of public voting is scheduled to open in February 2017 when the Top 12 Miss SA 2017 Finalists are announced. The public will then be voting for their favourite finalist. The public’s SMS votes will have a 25 per cent weighting of the overall voting towards the winner, with 75 per cent resting with the official judges
The voting will be done exclusively via SMS. The Top 26 semi-finalists will be showcased with photographs on the Miss SA website and Miss SA section of the Cell C website.
