A show worth the drive

The Nedbank Eston Show, hosted this month, will feature top SA performers.

IF you don’t mind a drive, then why not pop into the Beaumont Eston Farmers’ Club on 27 and 28 August for the Nedbank Eston Show.

Showcasing the latest countrywide trends in industry infrastructure and equipment, the Nedbank Eston Show has been a popular weekend escape for agriculture enthusiasts and their families for the past 62 years.

What makes this year’s event even more attractive is the promise of a live performance by award winning band, Gangs of Ballet, who will perform on Saturday, 27 August, after a host of other local performers.

Aside from the music on offer, the weekend will feature a crafts and flea market, beer tent, with refreshingly cold draught beer served by Robson’s Breweries, delicious food and a diverse line-up of competitions and events.

Visitors will also be treated to a SA Strongman demonstration, a Skydiving demonstration and Vintage Tractor Parade, all to be held on Saturday before the live music kicks off at 4pm.

There is also an antique-style market to enjoy, not to mention the famous open auction, which always draws a crowd and gets rather raucous just before the hammer comes down.

Motorbike lovers should not miss out on the opportunity to take part in the Dirtfest Motorbike Fun Ride, which will be on Sunday, 28 August at 10am, open to all age groups and abilities. Contact Roger De Billot on 083 627 9754.
