A newborn baby was found dumped in a rubbish bags in the CBD over the weekend.
According to Rescue Care operations director, Garrith Jamieson, paramedics were called to the horrific discovery in Broad Street near Smith Street On Saturday night around midnight.
“Paramedics arrived to find bystanders around the rubbish packets on the floor. A newborn baby was found wrapped in a plastic packet and left on the roadside. Unfortunately the baby had passed away before paramedics arrival, ” explained Jamieson.
The scene was then handed over to the SAPS for further investigation, he added.
