IF you think you have what it takes to be Mr, Miss or Miss Junior uShaka Marine World you have until 2pm on Wednesday, 24 February to enter the 12th annual pageant.

Supported by Dairymaid, this year’s pageant offers prizes and cash totaling R50 000. The winners will also be included in uShaka Marine World’s advertising campaigns throughout the year and will be invited to attend all their high profile events for one year as well as go through to the semi/finals of the Mr and Miss South Africa Pageant due to take place later this year.

Whether you are a model registered to an agency or entering in your individual capacity, you will need to submit two recent good quality images (one face and one full body) together with a valid entry form by Wednesday, 24 February at 2pm. Girls aged between 13 and 16 can enter the Miss Junior uShaka Marine World and young women and men who are 17 and over can enter the Mr and Miss uShaka Marine World competition.

Those contestants who are successfully selected from the photo selections will be personally invited to the uShaka Marine World regional selections at the respective venues around KZN. Finalists from the regionals will then be invited to the interview round on Sunday, 20 March at 10am. After the interview round, a maximum of 25 per category will proceed to the semi-finals on Saturday, 2 April at 10am at uShaka Wet ‘n Wild.

All semi-finalists chosen will then go through to the Facebook category where they will encourage supporters to vote for their photo on uShaka Marine World’s Facebook page. All likes received on their photo until 28 April at midnight will go towards the selection of Mr and Miss Photogenic. There will also be an uShaka SMS line where the public can vote for their favourite semi-finalist for the People’s Choice Award.

Thereafter, 15 finalists in each of the above three categories will go to the finals on Saturday, 30 April at 7pm at the Dolphin Stadium, Sea World.

Cost to enter this competition is R25. Entry forms are available online at www.ushakamarineworld.co.za or contact Shaun Mbatha during office hours on 031 328 8000 for any queries.
