Feeding schemes must be vigilant – Point SAPS

Point police encourage feeding schemes in the area to be vigilant.

POINT police encourage feeding scheme operators in the Point area to be vigilant and cautious while serving food to people.

Captain Bheki Simelane, communications officer at Point SAPS said the cautious warning came after a few incidents reported where vehicles were broken into while people were busy distributing food in the area.

“Some of these incidents occurred in Fischer Street and Erskine Roa behind Addington Hospital and Point SAPS are appealing to the feeding scheme operators to be more careful,” he said.

Simelane also added police were appealing to the community to come forward to report any incidents of human trafficking and abduction of young children.
