Create a butterfly wonderland

Learn all you need to know about attracting butterflies to your garden at the next BotSoc meeting.

IF you want to learn more about butterfly gardening, the next Botanical Society of South Africa KZN Coastal Branch meeting is for you.

With the recent release of Lindsay Gray and Steve Woodhall's book, Gardening for Butterflies, the duo will discuss tips for structuring a butterfly garden, with practical examples from Steve's recently revamped garden. They will also chat about the various habitats that butterflies enjoy, which are easy to establish in your own garden, and their photos of butterflies and examples of fine butterfly gardens will delight you.

Lindsay is the principal of The School of Garden Design and Steve is president of the Lepidopterists’ Society of Africa. Both have written several books.

All are welcome at the meeting on Monday 26 October, which will be at Durban Botanic Gardens Visitors Centre at 6pm.

Entrance, including refreshments, is R35 for members of BotSoc and the Friends of Durban Botanic Gardens, R45 for visitors and R25 for students with cards.

Pay at the door. Proceeds will go to BotSoc branch projects.

No need to book. For any further enquiries: email: botsoc-kzn@mweb.co.za or contact 031 201 5111 or 071 869 3693.
