Fuel shortage interrupts City buses

COMMUTERS using the City buses need to make alternate arrangements or face being stranded this afternoon.

Tozi Mthethwa eThekwini municipality’s communications head said, “The municipality informs all commuters utilising the municipality’s bus service -operated by private operator, Tansnat – of the interruption of the service in all areas due to a fuel shortage affecting the operator’s depots in the City.”

Mthethwa urged commuters to make alternative travel arrangements during this interruption. “We are engaging with the operator to ensure that service is restored soon. The Municipality wishes to apologise to all commuters for the inconvenience caused,” she added.
