Insurance group staff help out on Mandela Day
Bidvest Insurance Group staff did their part for Mandela Day on 16 July.
ON Thursday 16 July, staff from local insurance company, Bidvest, did their bit in honour of Mandela Day.
They visited LIV Village, based in Cottonlands Verulam, where staff spent the morning sanding, varnishing and repainting the obstacle course, which was donated by Bidvest Insurance to this organisation that cares for orphaned and vulnerable children on the KZN North Coast.
Lucy Cooke, marketing manager of Bidvest Insurance Group was delighted to have the opportunity to give back to such a wonderful cause.
“Seeing what LIV Village has achieved so far is an inspiration and allowing us to be part of that change is incredibly rewarding. Seeing how happy the kids are now despite their very unfortunate circumstances and starts in life, and knowing that LIV Village is there to help them create a brighter future is very reassuring.” she said.
Management of the village were delighted and very grateful to Bidvest Insurance for their ongoing support.
Bidvest Insurance Group has partnered with LIV Village for the past 3 years as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility programme, helping develop LIV’s sports facilities and donating items towards their Early Childhood Development Centre as well as a number of other initiatives.
