Don’t miss women’s convention

ICC CEO, Lindiwe Rakharebe will be keynote speaker at IPM Women’s Convention and workshop.

THE Institute of People Management (IPM) and the Durban University of Technology present the IPM women’s convention and workshop at Ritson Hall, Durban University of Technology on Friday, 24 July from 8am to 2.30pm.

Lindiwe Rakharebe, Chief Executive Officer of the Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre will be the keynote speaker at this year’s convention, which has the theme of ‘Women in economy: How to boost their impact and involvement.”

Other speakers and panel members taking part in the convention and workshop are Karabo Ramookho, Old Mutual’s national marketing manager for personal financial advice in KZN, Bessie Mabunda, Transnet’s general manager of project execution of manganese, iron ore, Western Cape and Eastern Cape acting engineering general manager, Dumile Cele, CEO of the Durban Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Juanita Simpson, director of sales and marketing for iCas – Independent Counselling and Advisory Services, Southern Africa (Pty) Ltd. and Shirley Anthony, owner of Marketing Breakthroughs, a marketing consultancy operational for over 21 years. She is also a professional speaker and author of the book “The New Entrepreneur.”

Also attending as IPM’s guest is former First Lady of KwaZulu-Natal, Dr May Mkhize. Dr Mkhize is a board member of the South African Women Entrepreneurs’ Network and will be participating in the panel discussion. She is also a board member of the Targeted Aids Intervention and is a trustee of the Batho Batho Trust.

Programme directors will be Alan Khan, senior director of Corporate Affairs at Durban University of Technology and Julia Sclanders, owner of Novaturient Coaching and Counselling and former HR manager of Bidvest Tank Terminals, Richards Bay.
