Don’t contaminate orange bag waste

DSW encourages residents to keep on recycling their goods in the orange bags provided.

THE Municipality’s DSW Cleansing Solid Waste Unit would like to thank all residents for their participation in the Orange Bag Domestic Recycling Project.

The orange bag is exclusively designed to be only used for the recycling of newspapers, magazines, cereal cartons, cardboard, polystyrene, plastics and plastic bottles. Residents are encouraged to ensure that the correct recyclable products are disposed in the orange bag.

When recycling waste is contaminated the entire load has to be disposed, valuable products cannot be recycled, and additional costs are incurred by the collectors.

For further inquiries residents should contact the DSW Education and Waste Minimisation office on 031 303 1665.
