Get ready to #RunYourCity

The race will be hosted in five iconic cities: Gqeberha, Cape Town, Durban, Tshwane and Johannesburg.

ENTRIES are officially open for South Africa’s award-winning road-running series, the Absa Run Your City Series.

The iconic 10km race will be hosted in five cities in 2023: Gqeberha (Sunday, April 2), Cape Town (Sunday, May 14), Durban (Sunday, July 9), Tshwane (Sunday, August 27) and Johannesburg (Sunday, September 24).

“We are thrilled to open entries for the 2023 Absa Run Your City Series,” said Michael Meyer, managing director of Stillwater Sports and founder of the Absa Run Your City Series.

“Although renowned for its elite racing element where SA’s elite runners get to race against the world’s best on home soil, the Absa Run Your City Series is also a mass participation series that grants all entrants the unique opportunity to explore their city on foot. To date, the series has been exceptionally well received in Cape Town, Durban, and Johannesburg. For this reason, we are proud to grow the series in 2023 with the introduction of Gqeberha and Tshwane as host cities,” said Meyer,

He added that they were excited to take the Absa Run Your City Series to five major cities in 2023, growing their reach while giving more South Africans the opportunity to be part of the experience.

“Entrants can look forward to an action-packed 10km journey that highlights important landmarks and features exciting live entertainment. Runners can take part in Gqeberha, Cape Town, Durban, Tshwane, and Johannesburg,” said Meyer.
