The taxi driver veered off the expected route, taking the woman to a parking lot near Warwick Avenue.

POLICE are appealing to the Durban community to come forward with information that can help solve a rape case after a woman came forward to report an incident in March this year.

Detectives from the Durban Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit are searching for a man who they believe can assist in the investigation.

“It is alleged by the complainant that she boarded a minibus taxi from uMhlanga to Durban. The complainant said people got off at their respective stops in Durban until she was the only one left with the driver in the taxi,” said Maphumulo.
