Woman killed in Berea crash

The cause of the collision is under investigation.

A WOMAN was killed in a horrific multiple vehicle accident on King Dunizulu (Berea) Road and Cleaver Road just before 03:00 on Sunday, March 13.

Spokesperson for Advance Life Support (ALS) Paramedics, Garrith Jamieson said they arrived on the scene to find that four vehicles had collided in the intersection before one vehicle overturned.

“One person, a woman believed to be in her thirties sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more paramedics could do for her and she was declared deceased on the scene,” he said.

“One other person sustained minor injuries and was treated on the scene by paramedics however declined further transportation to hospital,” added Jamieson.

At this stage the events leading up to the accident are unknown however SAPS were on the scene and will be investigating further.
