Durban police bring four robbery suspects to book
Two suspects were arrested for business robbery and two suspects were arrested for common robbery.

FOUR suspects landed in the dock today, March 8 for charges of robbery. The suspects were arrested following two separate incidents – a business robbery and a common robbery on Sunday, March 6.
Durban Central SAPS spokesperson, Captain Muzi Maphumulo said the suspects appeared today at Durban Magistrates Court and have been remanded in custody to March 14 for bail application.

According to Maphumulo, two suspects, aged between 26 and 37 stole a woman’s cellphone when she was walking along Dr Yusuf Daddoo (Broad) Street in Durban.
“Police swiftly arrested the suspects and recovered the stolen cell phone,” said Maphumulo.
In another incident, two more suspects were arrested after they stormed a business premises on Dr Prixley Kaseme Street.

Maphumulo said the suspects fled the scene with an undisclosed sum of cash.
“An Astra revolver and six live rounds of ammunition were found with a 9mm replica,” he said.
