Comedy duo presents gut-busting new show

Join Aaron Mcilroy and Lisa Bobbert for their newest comedy supernova 'GO BIG!', for laughs so large they can only be captured by satellite image.

DURBAN comedy couple powerhouse, Aaron Mcilroy and Lisa Bobbert present their show Go Big! The high-energy duo will be hosted at Durban High School’s Seabrooke Theatre.

Their performances will begin on Thursday, February 24 and run until Sunday, March 13. The show will be directed and choreographed by the exuberant, Daisy Spencer, who has fashioned the pairing’s last few shows.

“Aaron Mcilroy and Lisa Bobbert, multiple-award-winners both, never fail to raise a good belly laugh or two. Their performances in Go Big! proves no exception,” enthuses Billy Suter in his SoSuterBill review.

The show will include the team’s trademark collage of quirky sketches, some song and dance, and characters that appear in a colourful parade of wigs and costumes.

Go Big! is a jumble of silliness and unpredictability, the programme includes a funny nod to Dirty Dancing, a spot of drag, some flamenco dance, and an Abba medley. We are also treated to a lyrically altered rendition of Big Spender performed by Mcilroy’s most popular character, Durban Indian VJ, who draws laughter aplenty during a comedy routine that takes many turns in direction. Fans will lap it up!” says Suter.
