Durban Bowling Club hosts best of the best
Four KwaZulu-Natal districts competed in the annual competition.

THE Durban Bowling Club hosted an inter-district tournament on Saturday, January 29 and Sunday, January, 30.
Four KwaZulu-Natal districts competed in the annual competition: Port Natal Bowls, Natal Inland Bowling Association, Kingfisher Bowling Association (South Coast) and KwaZulu-Natal Country Bowls. Competition secretary for the Durban Bowling Club, Brian King said each district selects teams made of of their best bowlers to compete at the tournament.
“There is an A team, B team and a veteran team for bowlers over 60 years of age. All of those bowlers have been selected to represent the district,” he said.

The men played at Durban Bowling Club on Saturday while the women played at Parkhill Bowling Club in Durban North. On Sunday the men headed to Parkhill while the women played at the Durban club.
Port Natal district president, Donald Potts said three sides are selected from various clubs in the district.

Port Natal Bowls released the results for the weekend tournament.

Men’s B team: 1st, Port Natal; 2nd, Natal Inland; 3rd, KZN Country; 4th, Kingfisher.
Men’s Veteran: 1st, Kingfisher; 2nd KZN Country; 3rd, Port Natal; 4th, Natal Inland.
Women’s A team: 1st, Port Natal; 2nd, Natal Inland; 3rd,Kingfisher; 4th,KZN Country.
Women’s B team: 1st, Natal Inland; 2nd, Port Natal; 3rd,KZN Country; 4th, Kingfisher.
Women’s Veteran: 1st, Kingfisher; 2nd, Invitational; 3rd, Port Natal; 4th, KZN Country.
