Durban resident vies for Mr SA title

According to Esclana, men, young and old, need to take their place in society and become agents of change and help break the circle of gender-based violence.

MOTIVATED by his passion to ignite change, Durban resident and Mr South Africa finalist, Rylen De Esclana hopes to win title and the platform needed to help make a difference.

The 31-year-old real estate agent and business management facilitator, who is part of the top 50 finalists, said he entered the competition because he is passionate about empowering and mentoring future generations.

Speaking about his modelling career, he said, “My journey in modelling has not been something I frequently engaged in. I did a few charity events through Woolworths and a modelling agency.”

Esclana also featured on a print advert, billboard and an advertising campaign.

According to Esclana, men, young and old, need to take their place in society and become agents of change and help break the circle of gender-based violence.

Esclana has already started fulfilling his goal through motivational sessions, individual coaching and counselling sessions.

When asked where he draws his inspiration from, he said he is inspired by knowing he gets to face each day with the aim of being a better version of himself and fulfilling God’s purpose in his life.

Esclana, who believes he possesses the character and integrity to be a brand ambassador for Mr South Africa, added, “I call upon you, family and friends, to make your voice count with your votes. I look forward to our journey together and by God’s grace, I will be crowned Mr SA 2021. Thank you for your continued love and support.”

The final show is expected to take place in either Johannesburg or Cape Town.
