KZN Blind and Deaf Society uplifts others

“For blind and deaf people suffering from mobility or balance problems, walkers can provide a simple way to stay mobil,” said chairperson at the Society, Veetha Sewkuran.

THE KwaZulu-Natal Blind and Deaf Society (KZNBDS) empowered three beneficiaries with walkers and gift bags including blankets for winter on Tuesday, 8 June.

“For blind and deaf people suffering from mobility or balance problems, walkers can provide a simple way to stay mobile and active. A walker also aids ability and independence,” said chairperson at the Society, Veetha Sewkuran.

“Walkers must be carefully selected to suit the particular needs of the beneficiary. In light of this, the society`s rehabilitation team identified three suitable clients for the provided walkers,” she added.
