DURBAN Solid Waste’s operational services will continue as normal during the festive season including the public holidays.
Neeri Moodley, public relations officer at DSW, urged residents to put out their refuse as early as possible on their collection day.
The DSW offices will be closed on 16, 25 and 26 December 2013 and 1 January 2014 but the operational staff will be on duty throughout the festive season.
Households in the far South, South Central, Durban Central, Chatsworth and Inner West will not receive an orange bag collection service on Wednesday 25 December and Wednesday 1 January 2014. Residents are advised to keep the bags in their premises and put them out on the next collection day.
