Laughter is the best medicine

Join comedians Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert for their smash hit comedy, Family Therapy.

JOIN your favourite comedians Aaron McIlroy and Lisa Bobbert for their new show. MacBob Productions present their smash hit comedy, Family Therapy, for a limited run at Seabrooke’s Theatre on the Durban High School campus in Musgrave from 19 March to 4 April.

Lockdown isn’t easy and with everyone taking a knock, Family Therapy is the ‘essential worker’ reminding audiences that laughter is the cheapest and best medicine around. Durban North’s resident actors, McIlroy and Bobbert aim to infuse some much-needed high-octane merriment to blow audiences away.

The comedy show promises to impress as McIlroy and Bobbert take audiences with them on a wild and wonderful dive into the world of the family, and investigate what makes them tick or explode.

These comedic legends hilariously investigate the do’s and don’ts of living together as a family and mayhem is sure to prevail. Through the musical comedy romp, audiences will renew ties with MacBob’s classic gallery of loopy principals, notably Bobbert’s overly assertive Charmaine, and her sorely put-upon hubby, Bruce, along with several unforgettable new-comers to the comedy scene who will have you falling out of your seat.

Directed and choreographed by theatre ace Daisy Spencer, and hailed as ‘their best show ever’ (Barry Meehan, ArtSmart), Family Therapy guarantees to have you and your loved ones singing along and screaming with laughter, not yelling at each other.

With a suggested age recommendation of 10 years plus, the not-to-be-missed show’s duration is one hour. Evening performances of Family Therapy at Seabrooke’s are at 7.30pm (Wednesdays to Saturdays), with 3pm matinee performances on Sunday 21 March, Saturday and Sunday, 27 and 28 March, and Saturday and Sunday, 3 and 4 April. Tickets are R180 (students and pensioners R160). Low price special for 19 March preview – R150.

Tickets can be booked via Webtickets.
