Fundraising in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution

Iqraa Trust and IT Varsity recently hosted a seminar for the NGO/NPO sector.

IQRAA Trust in collaboration with IT Varsity recently held a seminar on fundraising for the non-governmental/non-profit sector in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and Artificial Intelligence at its Iqraa Trust Knowledge Centre in Glenwood.

Fifty-three representatives from various non-profit organisations attended the seminar which included a presentation by Bilal Kathrada, founder of IT Varsity, about the future of businesses, the rise of machinery and how technology became more embedded in life and the impact of these developments on all non-profit organisations.

Kathrada also talked about the new skills that would be required in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution and how non-profit organisations can adapt to the new challenge and seize the opportunities that have already started to emerge.

Dr Mahmoud Youssef Baker, chairman of Iqraa Trust, talked about the shift in the socio-economic system brought by the 4th Industrial Revolution, and provided the participants with some ideas, recommendations and new best practices that could assist in strengthening the relationship between donors and recipients and help various organisations to enhance their fundraising process.

At the open discussion session, the participants exchanged their experiences and how to better coordinate with the donors.

The Iqraa Trust Knowledge Centre was established in March 2020 by Iqraa Trust. It is located inside Hunt Road Secondary School opposite the Iqraa Trust offices in 15/17 Hunt Road.
