Suspect caught driving stolen vehicle in Morningside
According to police, the vehicle was stolen in Phoenix in August 2018.
A MAN was arrested by Durban Central police on Monday morning, 30 November, when he was found driving a stolen vehicle.
According to Sgt Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, at around 1am, officers arrested the man in Morningside.
“Members were patrolling in an unmarked police vehicle when they noticed a suspicious vehicle driving along Stamford Hill and Kent Roads. Members stopped the vehicle and upon circulating the registration it came up positive that the vehicle was stolen in Phoenix in August 2018,” she said.

Khomo said the driver was placed under arrest for being in possession of a stolen vehicle.
The Ford Bantam was taken as an exhibit.
Khomo said the suspect will appear in the Durban Magistrate’s Court soon.
