Assistance sought in Durban rape case

Police have appealed to the public for help in their investigation into a rape case.

DURBAN Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit is appealing to the community for assistance with regards to a case of rape it is investigating.

According to Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, it is alleged that on 21 February at about 9.30pm, a 47-year-old woman was in a public place with her friends when an argument started. “She and her male friend decided to walk out to Yusuf Dadoo Street where his vehicle was parked. He then forcefully pushed her into the vehicle and raped her,” she said.

Police believe the male they have an image of can be of assistance in solving the case.
