VIDEO: Structural collapse in Durban CBD leaves one dead

The building has been cordoned off and rescue services are still on scene.

ONE person was killed and five other sustained serious and minor injuries when an overhanging roof on a building in Yusuf Dadoo Street in Durban collapsed.

Emergency Rescue services are still on the scene and have cordoned off an area around the building.  Robert McKenzie from KZN Emergency Services said three people were treated at the scene and found to be stable and did not have to be transported to hospital.

The interior of the building has been searched for any potential entrapments by Search and Rescue and Fire Department.  .
