METRO Police officer, Ndumiso Khumalo, who is accused of killing his girlfriend, Zinhle Muthwa, abandoned his bail application at his third court appearance on Thursday.
Khumalo allegedly shot and killed Muthwa on new year’s eve. The former constable dumped her body at the Ndaya Reserve on the South Coast on new year’s day.

The matter has been postponed to February for further investigation.
The woman’s family said they were relieved that the man accused of her murder would remain in prison.
