Fun day hosted at Congella Park
The idea behind the fun day was to do something to give the children some joy during the festive season.
THE Umbilo Business Forum (UBF) hosted a fun day at Congella Park on Saturday, to treat children from Dalton Hostel and the Denis Hurley Centre.
Leonie Kriek from the UBF said the idea behind the fun day was to do something to give the children some joy during the festive season, and to make them feel loved and special.
The children started off their day with a fun run through the park, after which they were given medals. They also enjoyed a braai, time of a jumping castle, popcorn and interaction with the UBF members through games of soccer.

Councillor Mmabatho Tembe also visited the fun day to hand out Christmas presents to the children.
The UBF thanked its sponsors Moneypit, Dirks Meat, Forsdick Workwear, Glenwood Presbyterian Church, Mszani Security, Dive Factory, Electrical Supply Corporation and Syndey Road Truck Stop for making the day possible.
