Durban police seek help in sexual offence investigation

Durban Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit is appealing for information regarding a rape case.

DURBAN Central Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences (FCS) Unit is appealing to the community to assist with information relating to a rape case currently under investigation.

According to Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central SAPS, it is alleged that on 25 September at about 5.30pm, a woman had alighted from a taxi in Mayville and while walking along Etna Lane she was approached by two men driving a white double cab.

“The woman was grabbed by the passenger who blindfolded her and threw her inside the vehicle. The vehicle drove to an unknown place where she was raped. They then drove her back to where they picked her up,” she said.
