Gala fundraiser for Durban’s elderly

TAFTA is hosting a prestigious fundraising gala dinner in aid of care services for Durban’s elders on Friday, 25 October at The Great Ilanga Room, Tsogo Sun Elangeni Hotel, Durban at 6.30pm.
With just 300 seats available, book now for an evening of outstanding food and entertainment, led by Durban’s favourite comedian and East Coast Radio personality, Darren Maule.
Proceeds from the evening will go towards the cost of Tafta’s Home Based Care service. As a result of the growing shortage of suitable accommodation for elders, this service, which enables the elderly to continue living independently in their own homes, has been extended significantly. Today Tafta reaches 190 elders, ensuring their basic right to dignity, however demand still outstrips supply and more trained carers are needed. The public’s support at the Annual Gala Dinner will help make this possible.
Cost is R650 per person and tables of 10 are available at a cost of R6 500. Dress is black tie/formal.
