Schools invited to plant, post and win

One lucky class gets to win a snorkel experience for 30 learners as well as two teachers.

uSHAKA Marine World has declared the month of September Arbor month and is encouraging everyone to plant indigenous trees and plants to honour not only the campaigns theme “Forests and Sustainable Cities” but also our heritage.

Schools in particular are encouraged to plant indigenous trees as a practical and symbolic gesture of sustainable environmental management – with the added advantage of providing learners with loads of shade during break time during summer.

UShaka Marine world is hosting a competition on their social media platforms and encourages everyone to plant and post on the following platforms: https://twitter.com/ushakamarine/ Facebook: uShaka Marine World and https://www.instagram.com/ushakamarineworld/. One lucky class will win a snorkel experience for 30 learners as well as two teachers.

The competition closes on Monday, 30 September. The prize must be redeemed by Friday, 29 November and must be booked for the entire class on any Monday or Tuesday once the winner is announced.
