Drugs found in police raid at Berea home

Four men were arrested for being in possession of drugs at a home on the Berea last week.

FOUR men were arrested for possession and usage of drugs in Berea last week.

According to Capt Poobalan Naidoo from Berea SAPS, at around 10.30pm on Wednesday, 7 August, members of the National Intervention Unit (NIU), acting on information, raided a home in the Berea police patrol area with the help of Berea SAPS.

“During the raid, drugs to the value of over R100 000 were recovered. Four foreign nationals were arrested and detained at SAPS Berea. The drugs will be sent to the SAPS laboratory to establish the contents,” he said.

The suspects were charged for possession and usage of dangerous dependence-producing drugs.
