Provide donations to CANSA

CANSA does not receive any government assistance and with the economy at its lowest there are just not any more funds for charity.

CANSA is in desperate need of donations in any form or size including monetary, in goods or services rendered.

CANSA does not receive any government assistance and relies on the public for donations. Donna Van Der Merwe from CANSA said: “We hope we can rely on companies and individuals to keep our doors open for the services that we currently provide. A Section 18A can be provided for the value of donations which means that the public could support CANSA without it costing anything.”

The organisation needs funds to assist in the running of the CANSA Mkhuhla Care Home which provides accommodation, meals and transport to and from hospitals for up to six weeks at a time for out-of-town patients. Another initiative is the CANSA TLC (It’s Tough Living with Cancer) which supports and provides lodging during treatment for children and their families affected by cancer. The charity also runs support groups, individual and family counselling, provides wigs and breast prosthesis, nutritional supplements, medical equipment hire, cancer screening (breast, prostate and skin cancer), gives talks on how to reduce cancer risk, runs mobile clinics, craft groups and prayer groups.
