Amro voted runner up at Mr World SA pageant

Amro Gabriels will represent SA at the Universal Ambassador 2019 event in Tokyo in December,

DURBAN model, businessman and philanthropist, Amro Gabriels, finished first runner up at Mr World South Africa 2019, and was awarded the People’s Choice Award at the prestigious event at Casa Toscana Lodge in Pretoria.

Amro was selected in May as one of the Top 13 finalists to compete for the coveted title. At the event, Amro was also awarded the title of Mr Universal Ambassador SA 2019. This title allows him to represent SA at the Universal Ambassador 2019 event, which takes place in Tokyo, Japan in December, and is one of the biggest male pageants worldwide.

The former Mr KwaZulu-Natal, Mr South Africa Top 5, and Mr Mzantsi Africa, is also the founder and director of the Amrotech, Amro Jewellery, and Shamro Collections brands, and is an active philanthropist, playing a role as the regional director of the Rolemodels Foundation, an NPO that assists underprivileged youth through education and skills development.

Amro is also working on a new project called ‘Teach a Man to Fish,’ which will work to empower disadvantaged youth to reach their full potential in life, by equipping them with vital lifelong skills necessary to do so.
