Donate to charity

There will be donation boxes at the two Spar outlets, where different items are being requested for HOLAH and the Bowl of Plenty.

SHOPPERS at Avonmore SuperSpar and Holdens KwikSpar are encouraged to make donations to support the babies living at charity Likhon iThemba’s HOLAH (House of Love and Hope), as well as the to the charity’s outreach programme, Bowl of Plenty.

Kim Brown from Likhon iThemba, said there will be donation boxes at the two Spar outlets, where different items are being requested. At Holdens, shoppers are encouraged to donate baby products such as powder, cream, shampoo, nappies and formula, whereas items for the Bowl of Plenty, include groceries like rice, pasta, cereal, tin food, sauces, tea, sugar, peanut butter and children’s snacks, and cleaning products such as Sunlight Liquid, washing powder, Sta-soft, Handy Andy, toilet paper, floor cleaner and bin bags will be requested for donation at Avonmore.

“We encourage shoppers to add a little extra to their trolleys and put these in the boxes which will be by the till points in the two shops. All donations will be greatly appreciated,” said Kim.
