Durban beauty eyes Mrs SA title

Charlotte Nihal has been announced as a Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa Semi-Finalist for 2019.

DURBAN’S Charlotte Nihal beat a record number of hopeful entrants to be declared the Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa semi-finalist for 2019.

Charlotte is an MIT graduate, a national representative of the Clothing and Textile Sector of SA, the founder of the Burlington Women’s Forum which focus on community development, entrepreneurship, skills development as well as health and fitness.

She was recently appointed chairman of a UIP and holds multiple qualifications apart from her MIT qualification.

Her journey began on 1 March, where she was invited, along with other hopefuls from all over South Africa, for a 2nd National Casting and Empowerment workshop, held at Emperors Palace.

Once selected, the semi-finalists then attended weekend long workshops to help them prepare for the journey ahead.

Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa is a Women Empowerment Program created for married women who would ordinarily not have such a platform to compete and be ambassadors for South Africa, on a global scale.

“I am extremely enthusiastic about the competition and I am excited to have been selected. I did anticipate making it this far in the competition and am extremely excited to be part of this amazing women’s empowerment journey so that I can also make a difference in the lives of other women,” she said.

Only 25 women will be selected to continue the journey, as finalists, for Tammy Taylor Mrs South Africa and will be announced at the annual Charity Ball, on 28 June at Centre Court, Emperors Palace.

“I’m feeling positive about my chances of winning and already feel like a winner. I also believe that I have the necessary skills and abilities to take on this role and given the opportunity I will definitely add true value to the Mrs South Africa team. I will also take with me a wealth of knowledge and experience with regard to business skills, community development and women empowerment which are essential for the winner,” said Charlotte.
