Durban residents object to cell masts

Durban Anti-Cell Mast Alliance's Niki Moore urges anyone with an illegal MTN mast in their vicinity to put in an objection.

THE Durban Anti Cell Mast Alliance has urged residents affected by MTN cell masts in the Durban area to continue objecting to MTN’s application to legitimise these masts.

According to the Alliance’s spokesperson, Niki Moore, she has been reliably informed that several applications for legitimising the MTN masts had been withdrawn as a result of public objections.

“The main reason has been that the masts were not compliant to begin with, which renders the retrospective application null and void,” she said.
