The poet of the piano
Olga Scheps is regarded as one of the up and coming piano soloists today and has appeared with many leading orchestras around the world.
PIANIST Olga Scheps will perform at Friends of Music’s next recital entitled Power and Soulfulness: the Poet of the Piano, on Tuesday, 20 November at 7.30pm at Durban Jewish Centre, 44 KE Masinga (Old Fort) Road, Durban.
Olga Scheps was born in Moscow in 1986, the daughter of two pianists and discovered the instrument for herself at the age of four.
At an early age she had already developed her own unique style of keyboard playing, which combines intense emotiveness and powerful expressivity with extraordinary pianistic technique.

This season she made her debut in Israel and performed numerous concerts with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. She will also appear in South Africa for the first time to perform.
