Next of kin sought by Durban SAPS

The next of kin of two men are being sought by police.

DURBAN Central police are appealing to the community to assist with two inquest cases they are investigating.

In the first case, On 8 September at about 8.30am a body of an African man was found by a lifesaver at South Beach.

The man was wearing blue jeans, a white and navy T-shirt and tekkies.

Police are looking for a relative or next of kin who can assist in identifying the body. Contact Det Sgt TS Mhlongo on 083 330 2228.

In another case, on 4 October at about 12.30pm, the body of an African man was found by a passerby on Victoria Embankment. There were no visible injuries.

“At the time of death the deceased was known as Snethemba Mdluli, (26), who was residing in Albert Park. Durban Central police are looking for Thobeka Mandla who is believed to be the deceased’s mother. She is believed to be working around the Market area in Warwick Triangle,” said Const Zanele Khomo from Durban Central.

Anyone with information of Mandla’s whereabouts is urged to contact Det Sgt TS Mhlongo on 083 330 2228.
