Jazz artist shares her story with Durban audience

The performance is part of the Concerts SA Venue Circuit Programme.

JAZZ lovers can catch vocalist, Andiswa Maduna’s performance at The Jazzy Rainbow at 93 Smiso Nkwanyana Road, Morningside on Friday, 1 June at 7pm.

Maduna, who hails from Pietermaritzburg, is currently studying jazz and popular music at the University of Kwazulu-Natal. In her musical endeavours she has worked with various gospel artists including Mthokozisi Zakwe, Khombi Mthanti, Israel Mkhize, Thina Zungu, and Dudu Gazu as their backing vocalist.

Maduna, who is now working on her own brand said she had a story she wanted to share with the rest of the world. On the night she will showcase her ability to sing songs and music out of the straight jazz genre, and will be accompanied by Obakeng Thamage on piano, Senzo Mdamba on bass and Lesedi Tlholoe on drums.
