Summer and sunflowers at fundraiser

The 12th Annual Sunflower Fund Ladies Breakfast took place at the Coastlands Musgrave Hotel this month.

IT was all things bright and beautiful at the 12th Annual Sunflower Fund Ladies Breakfast which took place at the Coastlands Musgrave Hotel this month.

Guests were aglow in their ‘Summer and Sunflowers’ inspired ensembles and enjoyed a morning of meaningful fun, food and pampering in the name of charity and hope.

Inspirational guest speakers of the morning included Vukile Nongcebo McKenzie, media personality and on air presenter at Ukhozi FM, who spoke on the power of voice and harnessing one’s magic.

Sandra Thomas, owner of the well-known Satin Candy lingerie stores enlightened the audience on good bra health and proper practises, and Shireen Eraman, executive chef and director of Food Factori Corporate Catering, a former senior lecturer at the International Hotel School, compered the event.

Funds raised from the event will enable The Sunflower Fund to create awareness as well as educate and recruit more blood stem cell donors.
