UMBILO SAPS today relaunched Operation Fiela and carried out raids on three suspected brothels in the Glenwood and Umbilo area.
Police arrested 11 women on charges of prostitution and recovered an assortment of knives, drug paraphernalia, 12 cellphones and dagga.
Operation Fiela 2 is an ongoing operation between police stations and clusters. The operation today was between Umbilo SAPS, Umbilo Metro, Rapid Railway Police, Cato Manor, Mayville, Durban Central, Point SAPS as well as Umbilo Vispol and support members.
