Von Memerty’s display synergy on stage

Win tickets to Ian and Vivienne von Memerty's latest show, Synergy, at the Elizabeth Sneddon this Valentine’s season.

BILLED as the most glamorous show of the year, Synergy, heads for Durban this Valentine’s season, with Ian von Memerty and his wife, Vivienne hotting up the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre stage with their latest show 14 to 18 February.

The ‘King of Versatility’ and the ‘Queen of Dance’ explore glorious partnerships in this dance, comedy musical. Dazzling audiences with talent, glamour, nostalgia and loads of laughter and fabulous costumes from around the globe, beautiful musical arrangements by Debbie Quicke topped off with moody lighting by David Limbert, the show is elegant, exciting entertainment in its purest form.

The von Memertys share the stage with respected keyboard maestro Roelof Colyn, who recently was in Durban for the hit musical revue, A Handful of Keys. Not allowing Colyn to have all the fun on the keys, Ian will be sharing time at the piano.

The husband and wife take their journey of 26 years of life`s struggles and creative partnership and bring fresh insight into the Synergy that ignites when two people work as one. Synergy takes the musical magic of Lennon and McCartney, the effervescent joy of the Sherman Brothers, the glamour of the Gershwin Brothers, the show-business sizzle of Kander and Ebb, the sophisticated drama of Desiree and Frederick in A Little Night Music and the laughter-filled poignancy of Tevye and Golde in Fiddler On the Roof to create a beautiful, poignant onstage production this Valentine’s season.

Ticket Prices range from R130 to R145 with R100 concessions. Booking is through Computicket or cash at the door.
