Doodle exhibition raises funds for tuition

THE Night of 1000 Drawings: Durban Doodle Session, co-hosted by Derivco and Zapper SA, is on 13 October at Vega Durban.

1000 Drawings is an international empowerment project. The artwork created on the night will be collected and exhibited at the Derivco Auction Evening on 3 November.

All artworks will be on sale for R100.

This is a fundraising initiative with the majority of the proceeds going into a Grant Fund for talented yet disadvantaged students, with 10 per cent going back to 1000Drawings, with these donations going to an art charity.

Buyers will be spoilt for choice with doodles, scribbles, graffiti, sketches, watercolour and oil paintings, experimental and conceptual works donated by the general public. You may just get your hands on a one-of-a-kind, original work by tomorrow’s big stars, or something beautiful to make you smile.

There is no charge for entry – go along and enjoy craft drinks and food, good vibes and good tunes.
