New president for cricket club

Kingsmead Mynahs Club inducted a new president and bestowed honourary life membership on a member at its recent AGM.

KINGSMEAD Mynahs Club held its 47th Annual General Meeting on 27 July during which its new president was inducted and a honourary life membership was bestowed on one of its members.

New president, Geoffrey Shepstone was inducted by outgoing president, Danny Flower, and John Arthur was awarded honorary life membership for his 30 years service as a committee member. John joined the club in 1971.

Kingsmead Mynahs is a cricket development club which was founded in 1971. The club stages an U11 and an U17 tournament annually and last year's U11 tournament at Kearsney attracted 15 teams.

The club's next involvement will be the Kingsmead Mynahs Kearsney U11 T-20 tournament at Kearsney College between 29 and 31 September.

This is the most prestigious U11 tournament in the country with 18 teams entered this year. Kingsmead Mynahs has been involved with this tournament since its inception in 2007.
