Residents urges to recycle despite shortage of orange bags

The issue of supply of orange bags is being dealt with at the highest level of City management.

ORANGE recycling bags are in short supply, but Durban Solid Waste (DSW) urges all residents to keep recycling and to use clear bags while supplies of the orange bags are being dealt with.

DSW extended its thanks to all residents for their participation in the curbside Recycling programme known as the Orange Recycling Bag programme and said the issue of supply of bags was being dealt with at the highest level of City management.

Residents can use clear bags in the interim for all recyclables, including plastic, cardboard and paper, with glass and cans in a separate clear bag.

If you have any comments and questions about this recycling programme, contact the DSW helpline on 031 303 1665 or 031 311 8804 or email: kdbarec@durban.gov.za.
