Funds raised from the breakfast will help The Sunflower Fund to cover the recruitment costs to grow a healthy, effective, ethnically diverse South African Bone Marrow Registry of committed donors.
THE much-anticipated 11th annual Sunflower Fund Ladies Breakfast in association with The Smile Emporium is on Saturday, 11 March at the Coastlands Musgrave Hotel, 315 Peter Mokaba Ridge, from 8.30am to 11.30am.
There will be two dynamic speakers, Carol Howard of Carol Howard and Associates, who will speak on living Beyond Limitations, and Wendy Hind of Chata Romano, who will facilitate a Polished, Professional and Passionate image-building workshop.
“At the Sunflower Fund our role is to educate and register stem cell donors to give hope of life to patients suffering from life-threatening chronic blood disorders like leukaemia. Funds raised from the breakfast will help The Sunflower Fund to cover the recruitment costs to grow a healthy, effective, ethnically diverse South African Bone Marrow Registry (SABMR) of committed donors. We play an active role in the process of giving hope of life through blood stem cell transplants,” said Allison Ekstrand from The Sunflower Fund.
The theme is Summer and Sunflowers and a prize will be awarded for the best dressed guest.
Tickets cost R240 and include a buffet breakfast, table treats including a dessert by Chateau Gateaux, a gift from B.O.N Natural Oils and a goodie bag. Guests can also look forward to lucky draw prizes, raffles, pop up shops and a complimentary pamper station.
