AUDIO: Two trapped in major truck crash on M7 before Wakesleigh
Two people are trapped under the truck - one deceased and another in critical condition.
EMERGENCY services have been called out to a truck crash on the M7, near Wakesleigh.
According to Garrith Jamieson, operations director at Rescue Care, a truck was broken down on the M7. While people were trying to assist the driver to repair the truck, another truck collided into it before ploughing into a third vehicle, a bakkie.
“Two people have been trapped under the truck – one is deceased and another is in critical condition,” said Jamieson.
The two people who were working on the truck are still trapped underneath the wreckage. One under each truck.
Motorists are urged to use alternate routes while the accident scene is being cleared.
